Binder Beacons
Binder Beacons
Building a master set is mostly arithmetic nobody signed up for. Card 247 lives on which page, in which slot, and how many times do you have to count it out before you trust the answer?
Binder Beacons remove the counting. Sixty durable plastic marker cards, one for every page of your binder. Each one sits in the lower right pocket and tells you exactly where you are: the page number, and the card number holding down that corner. Once the deck is in, every slot in the binder is two seconds of reading instead of a minute of maths.
One deck covers both builds. Flip a Beacon and one face reads 12-pocket, the other reads 9-pocket. The 12-pocket side runs the full 60 pages to card 720. The 9-pocket side runs 40 pages to card 360, and the rest carry my logo.
Made from durable plastic, cut to sit flush in a standard pocket without bowing the page. Slide a Beacon in behind the card that eventually fills that slot and it stays as a permanent page marker. Or pull it as you fill and use the deck purely to build. Both work, and both are faster than counting.

HOW TO USE YOUR BINDER BEACONS
1. Choose your side. 12 POCKET or 9 POCKET, whichever binder you are filling.
2. Place beacon 1 into the lower right pocket of page 1. Place beacon 2 into the lower right pocket of page 2. Keep going to the end of the binder.
3. The number on each Beacon is the last card on that page.
4. To find any card, look for the first Beacon at or above its number. That is the page. Count back from the corner for the slot.
5. Leave them in behind your cards, or pull them as you fill. Your call.
Common Questions
Do they take up a slot in my binder?
Only if you want them to. Sitting a Beacon behind the card in the same pocket keeps every slot usable. Pull it out as you fill if you would rather the page be nothing but cards.
Will they work in any binder?
Yes. Any standard 9-pocket or 12-pocket page, any brand.
What about the pages past 40 on the 9-pocket side?
A 9-pocket binder tops out at 360 cards over 40 pages, so Beacons 41 to 60 carry the skull on that face instead of a number. They are still doing full duty on their 12-pocket side. If you have a 9 pocket binder that goes past 360 these may not work for you.
Can I use them for something other than a master set?
Nothing stops you. Set builds are where the counting hurts most, but the same trick works for a numbered subset, a graded queue, or any binder you want addressable.
